FINGEtip keyboard - minimal movement required for hands and fingers. Hands
rest in comfortable position. All keys are at the tip of each finger.
NO NEED TO JUMP ALL OVER THE KEYBOARD WHEN TYPING
The economic losses due to Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI) resulting from typing
go into the tens of billions of dollars in addition to the pain and suffering
including surgery.
The current computer keyboard, to the detriment of millions of users, is quite
the same as the initial typewriter (QWERTY) keyboard. The QWERTY keyboard
was designed, or rather redesigned, to slow down the typist. Initially the order of
the letters starting in the top left corner was ABC… but this made typing too
fast and caused the keys to jam when the typist worked quickly. To solve the
problem inventor Christopher Sholes in 1875 patented a new keyboard so that
the commonest letters were not so close together. While the QWERTY helped
reduce the jamming problem for typewriters it is slowing down typing today and
it is highly detrimental to computer ergonomics.
ErgoGelMouse - New Ergonomic Mouse
- Thumb clicking duplicates the index in order to reduce repetitive stress.
- Fingers bend when clicking to allow better use of the muscles
- Concave areas complement the convex forms of the finger.
Rear Keys HandHeld New Ergonomic Hand Held Computer/SmartPhone
- Rear Keys provide an alternative to the front keyboard. - Touchpad in the back of
handheld computer allows for more comfortable and more efficient surfing - Greater
typing speed and lower strain on the thumbs.
